  • English: Hougton Mifflin, English
  • Science: HMH, Science Dimensions
  • Social Studies: McGraw-Hill, World History Voices and Perspectives Early Years and United States History Voices and Perspectives Early Years
  • Spanish: Spanish 1 curriculum through Berkley Public Schools
  • Elective Choices – Art, Robotics, Band, Study Skills

    • Second & fourth quarter – 45% tests, 15% cumulative exam

  • 7th Social Studies – 60% tests, 20% quizzes, 20% homework
  • 7th Religion – 60% tests, 20% homework, 10% Mass participation, 10% class participation

  • 7th & 8th English – 30% tests, 25% essays, 20% quizzes, 10% homework, 15% daily work
    • Second & fourth quarter – 15% tests, 15% cumulative exam
  • 7th & 8th Literature – 25% tests, 25% portfolios, 20% daily work, 20% participation, 10% homework
  • 8th Social Studies – 25% tests, 25% Scholastic News, 25% projects, 25% homework/classwork
  • 8th Religion – 30% tests, 20% participation (rosary and buddies), 20% service projects, 20% daily work, 10% character/discussion

Mass Participation looks like:

  • Opening the book
  • Hold the book up (not on the pew)
  • Singing the words
  • Stating the prayers
  • Hold your hands as an altar at your heart – SAY, "AMEN." Jesus goes in the less dominate hand, and pick it up with your dominate hand.
  • Reverence and respect
  • 8th Graders – helping your mass buddies and being great role models
