Grading Scale

As of September 21, 2023, St. Edith's grading scale has adjusted to the Archdiocese of Detroit's (AOD) mandated grading scale. Communication was sent to families last school year on October 20, 2022, explaining the change. Please contact your student's teacher or office, if you have any quesitons.

Grading Scale for the 2025-2026 School Year

Grades K-2

P (Proficient) 83-100%
D (Developing) 72-82%
N (Needs Support) 0-71%

 

Grades 3-8

A 93-100%
B 83-92%
C 72-82%
D 60-71%
F 0-59%

 

Effort and Conduct for students in Grades K-2 will be graded using:

4 = Excellent; 3 = Very Good; 2 = Average; 1 = Needs Improvement

Effort and Conduct for students in Grades 3-8 will be using:

A = Excellent; B = Very Good; C = Average; D = Needs Improvement; F = Poor

 

Honor Roll is for students in Grades 5-8 are A-B in all classes.
A "C" on the report card in any class will keep a student off the Honor Roll.

 

Principal's Award is for students in Grades 5-8 who earned all A's, Outstanding or Satisfactory in Conduct, award is given at the end of Fourth Quarter.

 

Any student who fails two or more academic subjects for one academic year will not be promoted to the next grade.
