School Committee

The St. Edith School Committee is an important parent group who advises the Pastor and Principal. We have two open positions to fill for the 2024 school year. Please consider becoming a member. We meet the first Tuesday of the month, August through May. The term is for three (3) years and this DOES count for your DOVE hours as well.

Areas of Committee Responsibility:

  • Assist Pastor & Principal with School Planning
  • Policy Recommendation
  • Broad, general & direction setting
  • Guide to discretionary action
  • Marketing & development
  • Communication
  • Evaluation of School Committee Goals

What the School Committee does not do:

  • Develop programs
  • Approve materials
  • Hire or terminate staff
  • Tell the Principal how to do things
  • Act as a grievance council
  • Send out questionaires without the authority of the Pastor and Principal

School Committee Application is due in the School Office by March 29th.

Purpose

  • To survey continually the needs (both spiritual and temporal) of St. Edith School;
  • To set goals;
