Mrs. Dorothy Korzym
I am a parishioner of St. Edith and have been for thirty years now. I have taught middle school since 1979 and thoroughly enjoy this age! My philosophy of education is to create a positive classroom environment where I act as the facilitator allowing the students to learn using Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences, to critically think using Bloom’s Taxonomy, and to recognize the importance of mastering grammar by writing daily and parsing sentences. Specifically, in eighth grade, I want my students to leave St. Edith Catholic School realizing how important it is to make learning a lifelong endeavor; hopefully, instilling in them a passion for learning. Many of my former students, alumni of St. Edith, have gone to graduate school and have rewarding professional careers.
