St. Edith is fully accredited by the Michigan Non-Public Schools Accreditation Association (MNSAA). Our Teaching Philosophy: We believe in teaching our students the ability and develop a love of learning. We motivate and help them to be the best they can be, believe in themselves, and reach their fullest potential as they prepare for their future education. We work with students to understand learning is a life long process and stress responsibility and independence as we are preparing our students for junior high and high school. We strongly believe in Catholic Education since the influence of God's teaching helps us learn, strive and grow in an educational setting focused on Christian values. Religion is integrated into our curriculum thus enabling our children to grow closer to Jesus each day and develop first and foremost Christian beliefs that continue to grow within their faith journey throughout life. Email Communication Protocol: We believe email communication will enhance the relationship between teachers and parents while not taking the primary responsibility of homework and time management away from the students. Please note that teachers will make every effort to respond to emails within a period of 24 hours and within normal business school hours. If it is critical a teacher receives your message prior to the start of the school day, please call the school office. News & Notes: Each grade teacher will provide a general monthly schedule of events (scholastic, tests, field trips etc) that are planned to take place. However, please note all dates and assignments are subject to change per discretion of the classroom teacher. We believe in teaching our students the responsibility and effectiveness of time management thus preparing them for success. When important schedule changes take place, the class teacher will communicate to all families all necessary information. Our teaching staff are fully qualified professionals, certified by the State of Michigan.
