Mrs. Patti Pokriefka

Student Supply List

I have been an educator for over twenty years and have enjoyed teaching at St. Edith since 2004. In my career I have taught from first through eighth grade in both the public and Catholic schools. The ability to discuss openly and share my faith is the reason I have chosen to remain in the Catholic schools. It was a personal challenge for me, twelve years ago, when I was asked to move from fourth grade to eighth grade; however, I found that I have enjoyed the experience and the students I have worked with. Math and science were two subjects I enjoyed when I was in school. Teaching these subjects to young students and helping them prepare for the challenges they will face in high school and beyond is rewarding. I look forward to each new school year and the students who come through the middle school, helping them to see the potential they have and to achieve their goals is very gratifying.
